Web Mama e-cart testing v 2.6
Love the Web Mama e-cart? Ready to love it more? I’m currently testing the 2.6 Beta version on the demo system and on my own site.
New Features:
- Inventory Control - For stores using inventory checker, system uses discountpr fields and a return page in Mals to better limit inventory quantities in the cart level
- Master Password - Administrators with master password access can set a separate password and access the admin system with that password instead of the store password, even if the store changes their passwords.
- Spam Control - Keeps spammers from sending http:// text through the contact and guestbook pages and helps check for several different injection types.
- Static Page Support - For servers supporting mod_rewrites, catalog pages are shown in formats such as:
/category_9/Candles.htm
instead of:
/catalog.php?category=9
and:
/item_7/Pink-T-Shirt.htm
instead of:
/catalog.php?item=7&catid=9&return=xxxx
where the words ‘category’ and ‘item’ can be adjusted. - HTML Editor - A modified HTMLArea is included which will work in mozilla browsers.
- Layout Updates - Product layouts use a common variable page to make it easier to create layout changes.
- Inventory Manager - Allows administrators to manage inventory in groups of items, all at one time.
- Froogle Update - Updated Froogle loader for the new Google Base system. Headers can be adjusted and the file can be printed for review and manual loading.
- Validation - Templates and layouts reworked for transitional validation
- Navigation List - Breadcrumbing now shows product name and its referred category if one exists.
- Gift Certificates - The full certificate number now shows in the administration area. The certificate properly logs when an order is placed.
- Flush - The flush() statement is removed from the openinfo.php page, which helps with the Add to Cart error.
- Config Error - The injection code shown in the 2.5 update is now included in the stconfig.php file.
- Meta Tags - More space is allocated for meta titles, keywords and descriptions.
- No Options - Products can be set with 0 options without displaying header error.
- Discounting - Fixed product discounting, so that amount discounting calculated correctly.
Note: v.2.5 did have the spam control already as an add-on patch I created, it’s just now officially included.
